Richard Crockett, MD

Dr. Crockett is an experienced entrepreneur interested in how biotechnology can better the lives of people and animals.  He is currently President and co-founder of Yorktown Technologies, a company focused on the nascent field of consumer biotechnology.  Yorktown is the creator of GloFish® fluorescent fish, the first mass-marketed biotech animal.  Prior to Yorktown, Dr. Crockett co-founded ClassMap, an online education and content platform for university students.  He graduated from Yale University with a background in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, later earning his Medical Doctorate from Yale as well.  Dr. Crockett holds roughly a dozen patents and is published in several peer-reviewed journals.
