Dr. D’Hulst’s fascination for science lies in translating the insights one gains from studying the molecular biology of a system like the brain to real-world applications, such as uncovering new therapeutic pathways or developing tools to screen for diseases. Dr. D’Hulst has numerous publications over 10 years as a bioengineer. After completing her PhD at the Antwerp University (Belgium), where she identified a new target for rational treatment of Fragile X Syndrome (currently in clinical trials), she joined Dr. Paul Feinstein’s lab in NYC to study the neurobiology of olfaction. She developed the MouSensor platform and oversees the scientific and business development of its applications.
